Rainier Identity and Packaging
The objective was to reposition Rainier thru it’s packaging as the “old classic”. Current packaging had gone after the “Kokannee/Blue/Mtn” feel and wasn’t winning in the mainstream battle. By redesigning the identity to look similar to early 1980’s designs I created an icon that was easily recognizable while bringing the look up to date. A simple retro can design reenforced the 1980’s look while also aligning the brand more closely to the USA design to help cross border consumers.
