Shaftebury Identity and Packaging Design
The challenge was to breathe new life into a beer brand that had been consistently losing momentum over the past 5 years. I took the “Craft Brewed In BC” theme and reflected the environment and lifestyle of BC through the packaging and individual names. All the brands reflect a natural element that beautiful BC has to offer; as well as, the lifetstyle and laid back attitude that comes with it. Each brand is colour coded with the colour reflecting the brands feel. Names like Coastal Cream Ale, 420 Brilliant Lager and Easy Honey Pale Ale create a nice craft brewed in BC image for this West Coast Brewer.

Shaftebury Print Advertising
Print ads for Shaftebury Brewing that ran in the Georgia Straight (weekly Vancouver newsprint magazine) for the summer of 2008. These three ads were created to help highlight the laid back personality of Shaftebury Brewing. Bold colours and a simple layout create a clean and impactful design which works well in the busy, mostly black & white newsprint page. The copy is short and sweet and reflects the brand’s core essence.
