Foch Eh

Foch eh
Say what? That’s right, 100% Canadian Marechal Foch made by carbonic maceration and produced on Vancouver Island. After taking a little humorous liberty with the naming of the newest addition to the Averill Creek family, we thought we would approach this new wine label with a clean, elegant look. The strong typography creates the brand while the label is die cut with the shape of Mt. Prevost which is present on all of the Averill Creek packaging. The die cut really stands out with the dark black of the full bottle showing through. So what do you say? Foch Eh!
Averill Creek Label and Packaging Design

A beautiful estate grown and produced winery located on the sloping hills of Mt. Prevost on Vancouver Island. The owners desired that the mountain be a prominent feature in the design. The illustrated image is the view of Mt. Prevost from Cowichan Bay at dusk. This portrays the beautiful scenery that surrounds the winery and the energy it embodies. Each label is colour coded with the sunset and ocean reflecting the label base colour. Silver foil is used in the logo to add a premium feel. Silver Stelvin caps are printed with the mountain silhouette and Averill Creek name. Due to the nature of the design these labels are printed on a digital press to ensure smooth gradients and consistent colour. I created all brand identity, wine labels, advertising and POS materials.
